    Discussed with Bethan before going to pick the boots up about 3 weeks ago. Very tight fit when trying on but have loosened off now. Very comfortable and warm, glad I went for the neoprene rather than cotton. Vibram sole excellent for walking

    Leaking in less than a year

    First impressions were that they were a well constructed boot. Very comfortable to wear and good grip. However, i have had them for less than a year and the right boot leaks water. There is no visible damage to the boot so can only think it is a fault with the boot. Disappointing given that they are not a cheap boot. Cherry Tree Response: Sorry to hear your boots are leaking. I believe my colleague has arranged for the collection of the faulty boots. Sorry for the inconvenience, and this is very unusual with Hoggs wellington boots.

    I am trying Hoggs wellingtons in preference to other well known makes in the hope that they may last longer than 10 months! Too early to tell re their longevity, but they appear sturdy and comfortable. Sizing tends to be on the generous side.

Hoggs of Fife has many years experience designing and manufacturing clothing and footwear to suit all types of country pursuits. For more than 125 years, Hoggs has promoted its fine footwear to a wider audience and has certainly mastered the design of a ‘walking’ welly, in the guise of its Field Sport Neoprene-Lined wellington boot. Incorporating a top performance sole unit, by Vibram, and with 100% natural rubber, this welly really is comfortable, warm and durable!

 

The natural rubber used in the design provides great protection against the elements but also offers plenty of flexibility. Plus, with reinforced shin and ankle guards for protection against brambles and hedges, this neoprene lined wellington boot really is great for all types of outdoor work!

 

Hoggs has designed and manufactured this welly boot to incorporate a 4mm neoprene lining. Neoprene is a synthetic rubber which is laminated on to spongy foam to help maintain flexibility. It is very tough!  There are many benefits of wellies with neoprene lining, including:

 

- the excellent insulation properties against the cold
- the absorption of impact energy
- a comfortable wear as it moulds itself around the foot

 

In addition to the neoprene lining, there is also a removable cushioned EVA insole with memory foam inserts. This insert will offer excellent shock absorption!

 

The Field Sport neoprene wellington has an XS-Trek Vibram outsole unit. Vibram is a leading provider of highly technical sole units. This XS-Trek outsole unit offers fantastic grip, abrasion resistance, comfort, 360 degree traction and durability. The wide multi-traction lugs are self-cleaning, so no more carrying excess mud and they enhance traction and grip when needed!. The Field Sport Neoprene wellies are perfect for mountain climbing and rough working.

Cleaning:
